THE CHALLENGE
How might JavaScript be used as the focal design tool to denote meaning in a composition?
THE SOLUTION
A webpage where interactivity adds an important layer of substance.
During the ideation process, I focused on ways the word "quiet" could connect with and push away surrounding noise.
After landing on a compostion, I had to translate it into code. I used steering behaviors to propel elements away from a given point.
I used letters instead of dots in the final to reinforce the composition's meaning. Hit the spacebar, and the word "quiet" moves to push the noise away from a new position. You can try it out here.
